Situated in an upscale neighborhood in Sukhumvit, Indus is housed in a 1960s art deco house formerly known as The Whole Earth Restaurant.
The design theme was inspired from the rich northern Indian cultural heritage of the Inuds Valley Civilization, one of the world's oldest (2600-1900 BC.) Jagged sandstone walls, floor lamp lightin, antique doors, original wall tapestnes, ancient jugs, and large paintings are just some of the elements used to re-create an authentic feel of the era. The contemporary twist on the "Indus Experience" comes in the form of stylized food presentation, artistic crockery, fusion signature cocktails, and new age lounge music.
The complex also houses a vibrant "shisha" bar with a live DJ and an art cafe speciallzing in signature Kati Rools. The cafe holds art exhibitions regularly; welcoming new age artists to exhibit their latest collections. Indus is surrounded by a beautifully landscaped garden that provides outdoor seating beneath bamboo and palm trees and amid lush tropical greenery. |

| The Chef: |
| Kashmiri Chef Sonya Sapru, author of internation best-selling recipe book "Zaika", made her flagship debut in the Bangkok dining scene by instilling "modern Indian dining" at Indus. By using a collection of health-conscious recipes preserved in her family's Kashmiri Pundit heritage for generations, Chef Sonya talkes Indus diners on a journey into the past through a unique dining experience. Only the finest of spices are used in her recipes, which she likes to describe as "lighter, simpler and more stylized Indian cuisine...where less is more." |
| The Indus Cafe: Made first available at Indus - signature Kati Rolls, using handkerchief thin romali roti to wrap a selection of fillings are what attract people to INDUS CAE for a quick lunchtime or afternoon bite. The cafe also serves premium Italian coffee, Indian teas, cakes, sandwiches, and ice crea,...while offering compilmentary wireless high speed internet throughout the day. |
